Choosing a diamond can be one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make, so it is important to take the time to choose the perfect diamond to suit your own personal situation. Not only are diamonds one of the hardest materials known to man but they are also one of the most desired.
There are four main factors to take into consideration when choosing a diamond, these are most commonly known as the "four C's" Cut, Clarity, Colour and Carat weight. Each of these factors Determine the final selling price of the diamond, the higher the quality the higher the price.
Because it can be a little confusing knowing whether or not you're buying a good quality diamond or not, I like to categorize the "four C's" into my own order of importance. Firstly the most important factor to me is the Cut of the diamond, now by cut I'm not referring to the shape of the stone, I'm referring to how well the stone has been cut in regards to proportion and finish. A diamonds biggest asset is Its ability to reflect light and when it has been cut to perfect proportions the light reflects at its optimum which creates that beautiful sparkle that makes a diamond so amazing.
Secondly it is the colour because this is something that you can visually see straight away if it is a low colour or not.
Thirdly is the Clarity, clarity is an area where I feel you can compromise a little if you are more budget conscious. Because what is most important when it comes to clarity, is what you can see with your naked eye that matters at the end of the day. This is where being able to view your diamond before buying it works really well because you're not just buying a diamond off what a piece of paper says it is and hoping that you're getting a good quality diamond. With Jewlz Handmade Jewellery you can see your diamond first hand and see what makes one diamond better than another.
Lastly is the Carat weight, this is purely up to you and what your budget allows.
